ZUGFeRD / Factur-X Validator (CII)
Checks hybrid e-invoices in UN/CEFACT CII format. You can upload the XML file directly or a ZUGFeRD PDF — the embedded XML is automatically extracted and validated. 14 Business Terms from BT-1 (invoice number) to BT-115 (amount due) are checked.
XRechnung Validator (UBL)
Checks pure XML e-invoices in UBL 2.1 format. XRechnung is mandatory in Germany for invoices to federal authorities and is increasingly required by states and municipalities. 12 Business Terms per CIUS DE are checked.

The validator checks the XML mandatory fields. For a complete PDF/A-3 check (ICC profile, metadata), we additionally recommend veraPDF.
How do I fix XRechnung syntax errors?▾
The XRechnung tab shows exactly which Business Terms are missing. Add them to your XML — or use TaxLayer to automatically generate a valid XRechnung from your PDF invoice.
